hah no grab zone! it is an ok pic but a lot of things could change. the composition is kinda weird and I'm assuming you cropped the photo.. don't crop. the exposure is nice though, the focus is just off. flash behind the tree is a nice touch

as far as the composition goes i usually seem to shoot my photos through things (ex. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2560/396077..._bd3819d71b.jpg, http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3461/393586..._5f9f93ef0c.jpg ) so i guess its kinda a style of mine you can call it, i understand about the cropping but when i took the photo i included to much of that tree for my liking so i cropped it out. thanks a bunch for your thoughts very helpful and honest; no comment on the grab lol everyone who has been outstanding at snowboarding has graduated and moved away, connecticut isnt exactly a hot spot for mountains haha

I like what you did with the flash behind the tree it would look better without the first tree IMHO,and the snows a little blown take some tin foil and tape it under your flash to keep it off the snow a little.

sick grab man

looks pretty good, i think the flash balance is a little weird. most of the light is coming from behind him which kind of dulls the look of it a bit
