My friend just got an HV20. He has a Macbook, and it turns out there's no firewire port on it and he only has a firewire cable to upload his clips. They make a USB cable for the HV20 but I read that you can't upload video through USB with a mac. Does anyone know if he will be able to use the USB cable to upload clips onto his Macbook, and if not how does he do it? If there is any way, let me know because not being able to upload them at all onto the Macbook would suck wicked bad for him. Thanks guys. and sorry if this has already been asked, i'm sure it has but i'm way too lazy to check.
Cal
i dont think there is a way

90% sure you can not. somebody on skateperception said that you can get an external monitor that has firewire ports and upload it right to that.

i don't know about with a mac, but on my pc with my gs500 i can capture through usb, but it's really shitty quality. you can buy a firewire port for like $30. it's worth it
macdproductions
you can get an adapter that will allow you to use firewire

expensive though and i don't know if the new mackbook actually has an expresscard slot so this may be bunk as well

Adam the same thing happened to me, but i have a mac book and a regular mac so i didn't run into problems. But I saw something on this on skateperception to but i don't want to find it. Another idea would be to let me borrow pat's hv20 and film stuff with it!!!

Yea Tom sick idea!!! i actually have it at my house right now. might throw a tester up on vimeo because i can import on my ibook g4 <-- (with my .4 GB of space left hahah) but i'm still lookin for any suggestions regarding the Macbook. thanks.
