yo yo, so i just got final cut studio 2, and i havnt installed it yet. i was wondering if anyone knows how the licencing works for installing on more than one computer. is there a way that i can install it on a few computers? and does registering it have an effect on how this works?

you can install it on multiple computers if they are on different networks. otherwise you have to disconnect from the internet to use it

i think if you buy the regular version of studio 2. its licensed for one macintosh tower, and one macintosh laptop.
but like macd said you can run it on a bunch of systems as long as their not on the same internet connection.
but you're probably in some sort of violation of their licensing agreement.
mean while apple is too busy getting rich off iPhones.

ok werd. so as long as you dont share the internet connection with the computers its all good... is it just if the computers use the connection at the same time? or like how does it work, do they just block you out if they find that computers are using the same connection? and is that only if your registered.. its not a torrent.

u just cant run 2 versions of final cut on the same server with the same serial number. i personally have a downloaded copy and so did my roomate in the dorms at school and if we were both editing whoever opened their program second couldnt open it unless they disconnected from the internet because it gives an error that says something like there is already a copy of final cut running on this server with that serial number. but yea dont worry about it. install it on as many machines as u want. u just cant run two copies of it on the same internet server without disconnecting from the inet on one.
